Sarah Harrison

Specialist Orthodontist – MOrtho, MSc. RCPSFDS ,  BChD

Sarah Harrison is a registered Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council. She is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society and British Dental Association.

She qualified as a general Dentist from Leeds University Dental School in 1989. After qualification Sarah continued postgraduate studies whilst working in General Practice. This was followed by several years of Hospital based jobs, initially as a House Officer at Birmingham Dental School, followed by further training in Oral and Maxillo-facial surgery in hospitals in Manchester and Preston culminating in attaining the Fellowship of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow.

Sarah then undertook a 3 year postgraduate Orthodontic course at Manchester University Dental Hospital which resulted in attaining the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and in addition a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Manchester. Since then Sarah has worked in both Hospital Orthodontic Departments and Specialist Orthodontic Practice such that she has a wide experience of both complex and routine treatments. She enjoys working with children, teenagers and adults always aiming to offer the highest quality treatment and invests much time in attending a wide range of courses. She is able to offer a full range of orthodontic treatment including aesthetic options such as, ‘Invisalign’ clear aligners and ceramic (tooth-coloured) fixed appliances as well as removable and functional appliances.

Away from work much of her time is spent with her family, including three children and being outside, either walking, running after the dog or mountain-biking.
