Stephen graduated from Glasgow University in October 1974 with a commendation for his restorative work. In 1975, Stephen joined Lancashire Dental and became a partner 4 years later.
During this time, Stephen developed a special interest in aesthetic procedures which lead Stephen to undertake training in orthodontics. Stephen completed his training under consultant Cathy McDade at Royal Blackburn Hospital and was later grandfathered onto the specialist list in 1993.
In 2009, two of our long-standing dental nurses had the opportunity to train as Orthodontic Therapists at Manchester Dental Hospital. Ever since Michelle Whalley and Emma Brearley have worked under the prescription of Stephen, undertaking and completing various orthodontic cases.
Stephen is a member of the Lancashire Orthodontic Network Committee and the British Orthodontic Society. He enjoys all aspects of orthodontics and takes great pleasure in providing high quality care for his patients.
Away from dentistry, Stephen enjoys walking, fishing and travelling. Stephen is also a keen motorcyclist. Amongst all that, he enjoys spending time with his young family.
